Press Officer of the Year

In order to give something back to the press officers of League of Ireland clubs, the Soccer Writers’ Ireland (SWI) created this award in 2006 as a token of appreciation for their efforts.

Often taken on a voluntary basis, the press officer role is one that demands time, attention and commitment in order to represent their club and connect with any one who may need access or information that is not readily available.

The SWI appreciates the work of press officers more than most considering how much we rely on them, so the association is extremely proud to present this award every year to someone who goes above and beyond their job remit.
